Are you an individual with a knack for numbers and a devotion to details? We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to support financial decision-making.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries to ensure all financial transactions are recorded properly
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial statements
- Utilize financial software, QuickBooks, for effective management of accounts
- Filing of annual certificates/reports with Secretary of State across various states within the United States
- File IFTA tax returns
- Prepare detailed financial reports that summarize the organization’s financial status for management review
- Oversee general ledger accounting activities to maintain the integrity of financial data
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support for various projects
Experience
- Proven experience in accounting or a related field
- Proficiency in journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting is required
- Proficiency in Accounting/Bookkeeping practices
- Proficiency in sales tax filing compliance for the State of Texas, along with all other states within the United States
- Ability to File company IFTA tax returns
- Proficiency in filing annual certificates/reports with Secretary of State for various states in the United States
- Experience with financial report writing
- Strong knowledge of financial software such as QuickBooks is required
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role

Pay: $64,000.00 – $64,500.00 per year
