Bookkeeper/Accountant

Are you an individual with a knack for numbers and a devotion to details? We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to support financial decision-making.

Duties

  • Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries to ensure all financial transactions are recorded properly
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial statements
  • Utilize financial software, QuickBooks, for effective management of accounts
  • Filing of annual certificates/reports with Secretary of State across various states within the United States
  • File IFTA tax returns
  • Prepare detailed financial reports that summarize the organization’s financial status for management review
  • Oversee general ledger accounting activities to maintain the integrity of financial data
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support for various projects

Experience

  • Proven experience in accounting or a related field
  • Proficiency in journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting is required
  • Proficiency in Accounting/Bookkeeping practices
  • Proficiency in sales tax filing compliance for the State of Texas, along with all other states within the United States
  • Ability to File company IFTA tax returns
  • Proficiency in filing annual certificates/reports with Secretary of State for various states in the United States
  • Experience with financial report writing
  • Strong knowledge of financial software such as QuickBooks is required
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,000.00 – $64,500.00 per year
